Every witch in Twin River City is eagerly primping for the annual Crystal Ball, where they will have a chance to be claimed by a warlock – except for Big Beautiful Witch Fiona, of course. The one warlock she yearns for, the sinfully sexy Enforcer Erik Bloodstone, would never claim a chubby girl like her – would he? He’s been flirting with her for years, but she knows it’s in jest – which makes it sting all the more.

To make matters worse, he’s investigating a series of warehouse thefts in her rundown neighborhood, so she can never get away from him and give her aching heart a break.

As Erik and Fiona grow closer, she comes to realize he may be leading a double life – and leading her on. Will the night of the Crystal Ball finally reveal the truth about Erik and his mysterious plans – and will the truth break her heart?

EXCERPT
Lazy from the heat, they strolled to his car, his hand resting casually on her shoulder. When she climbed in, he buckled her seatbelt, his arm brushing her breasts as he did.

“Now that’s just police harassment,” she informed him.

He climbed in next to her and put his hand on her thigh. “What about that?”

“That is just wrong. Very wrong,” she said, and then moved his hand up further. “That’s better.”

His fingers tightened on her thigh, and she shuddered, liquid heat rippling through her veins and settling between her legs.

“Vixen. If I crash the car, I’m telling the insurance company that it’s your fault.”

During the daytime, there was a ruined beauty to the Graveyard, the beauty of antiques and the ancient patina of rust. The sun beat down on them, warming her skin, and they drove north with the windows rolled all the way down.

The wind streamed through Erik’s golden hair. His fingers skimmed up higher on her leg, sending streaks of heat shooting through her body, and she leaned back in her seat. Desire pulsed between her legs and she stifled a low moan.

Big Beautiful Witches I Married A Warlock BBW Romance edition by Georgette St Clair Literature Fiction eBooks

I have read many of Georgette St Clair's books and while this may have some editing issues, I liked the world she created. There are a lot of possibilities for her to explore and bring to life in a story. I hope that she does.

I like the departure sometimes from the shifter genre. I am not saying there isn't any shifters in this book, there are all types of supernatural characters.

I loved the two main characters, Fiona and Erik. I felt that she had likeable characters and while some didn't think there was enough character development I understand that this was a short story. The way she portrayed witches and warlocks, was unique and intriguing. The plot would have been better though if she had done more with the warehouse burglaries and done more with the capture of those involved. It was just too easy and no real conflict there. I had issues with unbelieving characters like Rosalind or secondary and side stories like Mitchell's Blue Smoke & Lungbleed Fungus or Maizie's transformation near the end.

I loved Maizie and how protective she was of Fiona. Sisterhood at it's best! I thought she would have had her own story, esp considering how taboo it was for her and Stasik's to be together. Little Sister Delphine and Yummy Konrad, they definitely would make a good story.

I thought the humor was spot on. Mala and Fairy Faerie Renoir stole scene just about each time. She still owes Renoir a cupcake.

It wasn't her best but I really liked it.

Big Beautiful Witches I Married A Warlock BBW Romance edition by Georgette St Clair Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I will not summarize this book as many others ahead of this review have done a great job.

Here's what I liked

* Vivid Storytelling
* Lovable Characters
* The right amount of angst to keep moving the story forward
* The intimate scenes were steamy without overtaking the plot
* Enjoyable from beginning to end

What I did not like
I wanted to know the secondary characters a little better, there were almost two complete stories within the pages. I wished the the relationship details of the secondary characters were a bit more fleshed out. Perhaps a sequel is on its way and that is something we can hope is in this author's future.

My Summary Buy this book, for the price it is a steal! There is steamy romance, humor and a great ending!
This was a good story overall. However without the comedy relief of Rosiland and Renier it would have been just pathetic. It's a shame to keep reading about bbw's with no backbone. Just because you're a bigger woman doesn't mean you also have to be a rug. Constant insults from her mother who should have been told off and reported for child abuse. Fiona at 25 was still in some ways a 15 year old. She handled Erik with absolutely no grace. Made no attempt at all to even act like an accomplished adult. A business owner. Living on her own. Didn't need her parents help. A decent roof over her head and friends. Friends who should have told her to put her big girl panties on and handle her mother and crush on Erik like an adult. No need for the loser complex. She was not cool at all. It was embarrassing.
I have reviewed quite a few books by this author. And I truly love her books, hence why it is strange that I never reviewed this one as it is my favorite by her. I love this book. Fiona was great. She was such a quirky combination of characteristics. She was so sweet and kinda innocent on one hand, yet she is taking care of back street gangs, and sticking just barely within the law. I really enjoyed how the author makes use of Fiona's "green" magic. It wasn't over the top but I felt quietly clever, plus I super enjoyed that she used a crock pot to create a potion. I LOVE the stupid werewolf, she just made me laugh every scene she was in. I love the little street urchin, her comments cracked me up. Ms. St. Clair has a talent for creating the best secondary characters and she didn't disappoint with this book. Fiona's best friend was a fire witch and she was fantastic. Snarky and funny. I LOVED the prologue to this book, and it had me laughing out loud from the beginning. It was kinda Harry Potteresque but with BBW and sex. It rocked! I have read it twice now and I loved it just as much the second time as I did the first.

I can understand some of the comments because it seemed to be wrapped up fairly quickly and does end a tich abruptly. But for me, that didn't detract the overall enjoyment I got from reading it in its entirety. I just hope that the author gives us another from this universe and revisits Fiona Bloodstone. I would love to see a scene with Erick's mom and Fiona, as I felt that that was a scene I would have enjoyed.

Great book, super fun. LOVED IT! Please can I have one more madam?
I bought this a while ago and decided to take the time to read it today. The book I thought I was buying and this book aren't the same, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The story was quick and needed more copy editing. There were a few mistakes that could have been fixed with another pair of eyes. I also would have liked more time for the ending to find out what happened after the proposal, such as the reactions from others.

I did have some problems with the heroine because she was both fierce in her day to day life, but she had low self-esteem because she was "fat." Instead of seeming like a flaw, she seemed like a suddenly weaker person.

I'd say this book is a quick read, and it's for fans of stories where the good-looking, popular male loves the "ugly" or "unpopular" female anyway. Sometimes we need that kind of fluff. This wasn't a bad book, but I doubt I'll remember much of it later.
